I am preparing the public relaunch of 4Development.Net and want to support a small number of genuine local community groups while final platform testing is completed. I personally review each request and can guide you even if you are not technical.

If you run a charity, club, association or volunteer-led group and need a dependable web presence, you can apply for a pre-launch hosting slot. If you are unsure what to include, just share what you have and we can work it out together.

What Your Group Must Provide

To keep things moving smoothly, each group should appoint one named technical or web contact. I will handle hosting and implementation; your contact helps confirm content and changes.

• A named technical contact with authority to approve changes
• All content including text, images, files and any existing branding
• Prompt cooperation on domain access, DNS and technical decisions so work does not stall

If you are unsure whether you have the right person or setup, please reach out and I will help you check. If there is no active technical contact, the free hosting offer may be paused or withdrawn until that is in place.

After The Free Year

Your free period runs for one year from the date your site first goes live.

At the end of that year, hosting will automatically continue on the standard Core plan at the normal public price unless cancelled in writing before renewal. You will receive advance written notice before any billing begins. No additional opt-in is required for continuation.

If you choose not to continue, your group keeps full ownership of its domain. A complete site export will be provided on request for transfer elsewhere.

• What you need most such as a new site, email setup, refresh or better forms
• The name and role of your technical contact

How long is it free

One full year from the day your site goes live. You will be notified before anything changes.

What happens after the free year

Hosting rolls to the Core plan at the public price unless you cancel in writing before renewal. You will get advance notice.

Who owns the domain and content

Your group always owns its domain and supplies and owns all content. Full exports are available on request.

Do we need a technical contact

Yes. Ideally one person acts as the technical contact so changes can be approved quickly. If you are not sure who that is, ask and I will help you sort it out.

What if we want to leave

You can leave at any time. You keep your domain and can request a site export to move elsewhere.
